Can the fields and or field headings be modified (color, font, size, etc.)
- All drop down lists (categories, status, lead source, etc.) can be customized using the Table Editor in the Admin Tools menu group
- The prebuilt layouts on the tabs cannot be modified, but there is a Custom Field tab for both the Contact and Loan that can be fully customized to meet your needs.
Can the layout be modified? Moving around sections...for instance. the phone section to go up where the address section is?
- Only the Custom Field tabs can be modified in that fashion
Creating new fields: Was trying to figure this out without any success.
- Use the Custom Field Manager in the Admin Tools menu group. Keep in mind that the new custom fields are loaded when you launch the application and will not appear until you restart the application.
Groups: I am an ACT user at this time and have all my contacts classified in Groups. Most are in multiple groups. How do we convert these over so the group associations stay in place.
- Categories and Type fields in Cimmaron take the place of ACT!s group concept. A single contact can belong to multiple groups at once and this is great way to logically organize your data. Take a look at the Pipeline Management video to learn more about using these fields.
- The Data Import Wizard can be used to import the Group data form ACT! and Cimmaron offers the Quick Start package to take care of your data conversion needs to have you up and running as quickly as possible.
ID Status: Also every contact is associated with several ID statuses. Can these convert over.
- Yes, see the answer above regarding Group fields
Contacts: Some of the contacts are in one field for example....Paul and Norma Smith. How do we break these up to import into Cimmaron under each contacts section, etc.. Of course the associated contact inforamtion needs to follow that person.
- That would need to be handled in by pre processing the Excel data before the import, but this can be accomplished
Thanks
