How do I create a Point file from Cimmaron Mortgage Manager?

There are a few methods of sending your client and loan data to Point from Mortgage Manager, but the most commonly used method is the Create Loan button in the Loan Scenario section of the Client Detail view:

    1. Either Add a new Client using the "Add Client" icon in the vertical menu bar or use the Client Finder to find the Client that you would like to create a Point file for and then double click on their row in the results grid to bring up the Client Detail View screen.
    2. Click on the Client General tab  (this is the default Client tab).
    3. Navigate to the Loan Scenario section at the bottom the Client General tab. You can move to the Loan Scenario section by either pressing the Page Down key on your keyboard to move though the various sections on the Client General tab or jump straight to this section by right clicking on any of the blue section title bars, (i.e.; the blue title bar at the top of the screen called "Client Dashboard"). The right click will display a pop-up menu listing all the sections in the Client General tab. Click on: Loan Scenarios Title Section
    4. The Loan Scenarios section allows you to create up to four proposed loans for your client, which can be sent to the prospect via an e-mail template or Word mail merge document. Fill in as much information as you need in the Loan Scenario section (you can also use Point for this once the file has been created).
    5. Click on the Create Loan drop down button (located at the top of the Loan Scenarios section) and select 'Create from First Mortgage'. Create Loan
    6. The Point File Wizard will quickly step you through the process of creating a new Point file.
      1. Step One - Point File Selection - Select Create a new Point File and click Next
      2. Step Two - Point Directory - Click on the Directory where your Point file should be created (i.e.; P:\PntData or C:\PntData, etc.). Click Next.Point Directory)
      3. Step Three - Naming Options - Select the name of your Point file. You have several options including Custom, which allows you to enter any value for the filename. Click Next.
      4. Step Four - Template Selection - If you use templates in Calyx Point, choose your desired template from the list. Cimmaron will overlay the client's data on top of your Point template. This is a great way to start with a very thorough Point file. Click Next.
      5. Step Five - Point File Options
        1. Point Loan Rep: This defaults to the name of client's Loan Officer, but can be changed to the name of any Point user
        2. Point Loan Processor: The name of Loan Processor in Point
        3. Auto-Refresh Loan from Point: Click this checkbox to have all your changes in Point automatically update the corresponding Loan information in Cimmaron Mortgage Manager. Click Next.
    7. Your Point file will now be created. Use the 'Click to view the new Point file' button to launch Calyx Point and open up your new file. Point may display a message box warning you that this file was created by a 3rd party. This is normal, simply click Ok to view the new file in Point.
    8. You can now edit the Point file and your changes in Calyx will flow back into Cimmaron Software (if you selected the 'Auto-Refresh Loan from Point' option). You can also select 'Refresh Loan from Point' at anytime in the Loan Details tab to force an update to the data in Cimmaron using the latest version of the Point file.
    9. Once you click the Finish button in the Point File Wizard screen, the system will navigate you to the Loan Details tab for the client. You can now see the Loans grid. Cimmaron can track multiple loans for a single client and displays the detail for each loan below the Loans grid.Client Loan Details
