What Client email address will be used?
When you add an Activity for a client, the E-mail address field (located in the lower right section of the screen) will pre-fill with the email address that is stored on the General tab of the client's detail record.
- If the client has both a home and a business email address stored, then the E-mail field on the Activity screen will pre-fill with the client's home email address.
- If the client does not have a home email address stored, then the E-mail field on the Activity screen will pre-fill with the client's work email address.
- If the client doesn't have any email address stored, then the E-mail field on the Activity screen will be left blank. (Note: You will not be able to save an Outbound Email Activity if the E-mail field on the Activity screen is blank.)
- You can change the email address associated with the Activity by typing in a new address in the Email field on the Activity screen.
- You can also send to multiple email recipients by separating the addresses with a semi-colon.
