How to I upload an existing email to Mortgage Manager?

If you have existing emails that you send to your clients, or if you receive regular time sensitive emails such as newsletters or market guides that you would like to foward to your clients, you can save these emails as templates in Mortgage Manager and then easily send them out to your clients.   To do so, you would create a new email (HTML) template in Mortgage Manager and then copy and paste the body of your email into the new template.

To Create a New E-Mail (HTML) Template:

    1. In the Toolbar, click on the Utilities section, and then select File Explorer.
    2. In the Folder pane, navigate to the folder that you would like to store your template in.

    3. In the File Actions pane, click New file.
    4. In the New File Window, drop down the New button and select HTML.
    5. Enter a file name in the File Name dialog box, click OK.
    6. Enter Keywords that will help you to search for this file at a later date (not required).
    7. Enter a Description for the file (not required).
    8. Select a Data Source.  A data source is required if you want to have the ability to merge client data into your email (i.e., customize the email to say 'Dear John' rather than 'Dear Borrower'). Each data source will list a different set of fields that are available to be merged with the document.  For a standard e-mail to be merged with client data, select Standard Client Merge Letter.  For a standard e-mail to be merged with vendor data, select Standard Vendor Merge Letter.  Click here for a complete list of fields in each data source.

    9. Click OK to close the New File Window.

To Paste Your Existing Email into the New Template:

    1. Open the email that you would like to copy into Mortgage Manager in your Outlook or other email editor.
    2. Highlight the entire email message and then right click anywhere in the body of the email and select Copy.
    3. Return to Mortgage Manager.
    4. Select the new file that you just created from the files list in the File Explorer and then select Edit this File from the File Actions pane.
    5. A blank HTML window will appear.
    6. Right click anywhere in the blank HTML window and select Paste.  The body of your email should appear in the HTML editor.
    7. Click OK to save the template.
